Domestic and child abuse are national epidemics and the numbers are only increasing. According to various sources, 1 in 3 females and 1 in 4 males have experienced domestic violence/abuse or intimate partner violence in the U.S.    According to the National Children’s Alliance (www.nationalchildrensalliance.org),  Nearly 700,000 children are subjected to abuse each year and women with disabilities are 40% more likely to experience not just abuse but serious physical violence than women without disabilities.  As high as these numbers are, they are only getting worse.  Most people do not realize that this kind of abuse and violence is causing real physical illnesses in its victims.  Many victims end up being diagnosed with illnesses and autoimmune diseases without ever realizing the source of their illness (the abuse they endured).  Please read through the articles I’ve written, to learn more.  Thank you!!!💕
